Brief

PowerBar was part of Nestlé until it was sold to US group Post Holdings in 2014, leading to many internal changes. From a centralised HR operation under Nestlé, suddenly PowerBar was tasked with taking full control of its talent acquisition and retention strategies. From building a new careers site to identifying new channels for talent attraction, the PowerBar HR team needed to implement an innovative talent acquisition strategy to manage its needs across the DACH and UK markets.

Solution

Conscious of GlobalSportsJobs’ presence and market expertise in both the UK and DACH regions, PowerBar began working with GlobalSportsJobs on a job-by-job basis as it continued to define its HR strategy. Jobs have been posted across the English-language globalsportsjobs.com platform and, where necessary, the German-language globalsportsjobs.de platform. GlobalSportsJobs was one of two digital talent platforms utilised by PowerBar along with its own site and network to ensure the right talent was targeted. GlobalSportsJobs enabled comprehensive reach of sports industry professionals while the other platform focused on talent in the nutrition and FMCG sectors. Through this approach the HR team was able to attract the right diversity and quality of talent for its functional organisational needs.
